Music Academy Orchestra 音樂學院樂團

Music Academy Orchestra was established in 2010. It is an non-profit making organization, to organize educational activities, programs and training courses to the members of the HKMA and general public for promotion, improvement and advancement of their interest and appreciation in music.

There are three Orchestras, including the HKMA Orchestra (MAO), HKMA MAO Pro Orchestra (MAO Pro) and HKMA Bright Beginners Chamber (BBC). They cater kids with little or no experience playing music together. The various orchestras are tailored for players of different levels, so all players have a lot of opportunities to enrich their on-stage experience and share the fun of music with others. Last but not least, we encourage members to bring music to the community and provide volunteering services.

音樂學院樂團成立於2010年，為非牟利團體。一直致力發展本港兒童及青少年音樂培訓。現共有三個樂團：香港音樂學院BBC、香港音樂學院MAO樂團及香港音樂學院MAO Pro樂團。成員年齡由5歲至25歲，每位成員均經過面試及甄選加入樂團。在音樂總監及首席指揮蔡睿指導下，團員每星期都接受樂團練習，並與香港優秀年青音樂家一同排練，提昇音樂技巧。樂團會定期舉行音樂會，演奏由巴洛克時期至近代的音樂曲目。亦参與慈善機構及商業機構舉辦的公益活動，為社會服務。

此外，音樂學院樂團推行「管弦樂團駐團培訓計劃」，設立獎學金。由各中小學校推薦音樂優秀學生加入樂團並接受為期一年的樂團訓練，培育更多本港年青新一代。學院的專業導師亦到各學校舉辦樂器班，提供有系統訓練，用專業知識協助學校成立學校管弦樂團。

音樂學院樂團主要收入來自音樂會門票收入、贊助及捐款等。樂團舉辦多元化的音樂活動，把音樂帶入社區。透過商界與社會熱心人士慷慨贊助，我們可以將有關門票轉贈至社會上貧困丶低下階層以及有需要的兒童及家庭，讓他們親身參與及欣賞。曾受惠的機構：浸信會愛群社會服務處丶勵行會丶青少年服務處丶保良局丶兒童音樂基金等。
